Meghan breaks royal protocol by having her PHONE out in Melbourne

The Duke of Sussex stepped out in Sydney (and Melbourne, and Dubbo) over the past few days wearing an eye-catching accessory on his right ring finger: a thick black band.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had both arrived at the beach wearing footwear but Harry went barefoot first, before Meghan made a decision to follow, handing her espadrilles to her husband.

The Australian royal tour of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has turned out to be quite an emotional roller coaster.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to make 76 appearances on their 16-day tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand. However, she immediately started hysterically laughing, turning the entire moment into an endearing one as everyone joined in with giggles.

Long time royals watcher Sandra Nomikos was one of the first to exchange words with the pregnant duchess, handing her a bouquet and gifts for Prince Harry - a book on his mother Diana and a hat from Uluru - and a birthday present for Prince Charles - a book on the Dandenong Ranges. "He said 'Hello young man.' And Luke just said, 'Hello Harry.' And Prince Harry graciously realized that his language is limited".

Harry can then be heard asking the girl, 'Do you want me to take a picture of you two together?', with the youngster nodding enthusiastically in response.

"I didn't expect it to happen because it against protocol".

The videos also showed the kid giving flowers to Meghan Markle and giving her a warm hug too.

The couple announced they are expecting their first child upon arriving in Australia.
