The OneWave organization encourages its participants - now in over 20 countries and at more than 100 beaches around the world - to destigmatize and speak openly about mental health.

Harry and Meghan also laid a wreath - their first one as a married couple.

Spectators commented the couple were solemn and respectful, a departure from their usual cheery selves.

Meghan admired the thousands of stars which cover the domed ceiling of the building - representing men and women from the state who served in the First World War - while Harry looked solemn and contemplative.

Meghan dressed in a conservative black dress, fascinator and slingback black heels.

The mum-to-be kicked off her and Harry's 16-day tour worldwide tour in Sydney on Tuesday with a $1,800 ivory dress by Australian designer Karen Gee. However, her sophisticated ensemble today featured a variety of worldwide designers.

Harry wore the tropical dress of his regiment, the Blues and Royals, with medals, Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order badge and sword, while Meghan wore an Emilia Wickstead dress and Philip Treacy hat.

"Harry said each and every one of us will experience poor mental health at some stage in our lives", Charlotte Connell, one of the participants in the circle, told the Australian Associated Press.

A pregnant Meghan, 37, did a quick outfit change and stepped out in black trousers and a black Invictus Games shirt with a white blazer and black shoes.

Both royals wore Invictus Games shirts, while the Duchess also also sported a white jacket and glamorous sunglasses. The royal couple is back in the city Friday night ahead of Saturday's opening ceremony for the Invictus Games.
