Nikki Haley mocks US President Donald Trump

Outgoing U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley poked fun at President Donald Trump's inflated ego and total lack of self-awareness Thursday night at the Al Smith Foundation annual dinner. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., are "from the same tribe".

"Oh, look I got the mayor's drink by mistake", she said.

Haley, 46, announced on October 9 that she is resigning from her United Nations post, effective at the end of the year. But that hasn't stopped some from confusing her Indian heritage with Native Americans - including, she joked, the president.

"He said if I get stuck for laughs, just brag about his accomplishment". Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for appearing to have greatly exaggerated her Native American heritage, US ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley got in a few jabs of her own Thursday night.

While Haley's address also poked fun at the president and other members of the Trump administration, her comments on Warren prompted some criticism online.

Speaking of her current job, which she plans to leave in January, Ms Haley noted that numerous UN member nations are often angry with the United States.

Haley also joked about Clinton and how she conducted her 2016 campaign, quipping that Clinton would be going trick-or-treating "everywhere" for Halloween "except MI and Wisconsin".

"Everyone in Washington called me with advice about this speech. I get it, you wanted an Indian woman, but Elizabeth Warren failed her DNA test", she said.

"In South Sudan, where rape is routinely used as a weapon of war, that is evil", she said, cited by Politico.

Haley, during remarks at the 2018 Alfred Smith Dinner in New York, mocked the president for getting laughed at the UN General Assembly last month - a spectacle that both she and the president said was intentional, New York Daily Times reported. "Actually I saw Jeff Sessions earlier today, but not in NY, I saw him on LinkedIn looking for a job".

Haley continued, with Trump still in her cross-hairs.

"In America, our political opponents are not evil". His calculation: Her "pure Native American ancestor" appeared "in the range of 6-10 generations ago", which would track with her family lore that her great-great-great-grandmother, O.C. Sarah Smith, was at least part-Native American.
