The annual Friends of the Library book sale begins

The annual Friends of the Library book sale begins

The Friends of the Salina Public Library will have its Fall Book Sale from 9 3 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the library's Prescott Room, 301 W. Elm. Visitors are asked to park in the far northwest area of the parking lot and use Entrance B.

"And it's a good fundraiser - fill a bag for $5", added Marie.

It only happens twice a year, but it takes months of planning to get the Friends of the Community Library Networks book sale together. Children's books will be included as part of the Bag Day Sale.

Sale hours are 9 6 p.m. Friday, 9 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Patrons will be charged a $10 fee to bring in a scanner at any sale.

The Friends of the Brighton District library is a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen and support program and services. Funds from memberships, book sales, special events, and donations go toward much needed programming, equipment, and services at the Library.

For information, visit or call the library at 815-385-0036.
