Andreas Pereira: 'Manchester United pumped up for Juventus clash'

Andreas Pereira says that Manchester United's performance against Chelsea on Saturday has left them feeling "pumped up" for the upcoming clash with Juventus.

CRISTIANO RONALDO is relaxed fixture ahead of his reunion with former club Manchester United in the Champions League, according to Fernando Bernardeschi. The Chilean worldwide appeared as a second-half substitute in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend after returning from global duty.

"I told the players we have to keep that happiness, pride and confidence in the way we played".

"But now the key is to start games how we start them in the second half, and maintain it as much as we can".

It was hard at the start of the game [against Chelsea] but like the manager has said to us, we need to keep our confidence and keep doing well. In the second half, we scored two very good goals and then in the end we were a bit unlucky with the second goal we conceded.

"I think this gives us a lot of confidence for Tuesday and the manager gives us that confidence, too".

"A good 10 minutes before the goal, we were already drifting out of the game", he said.

"It'll be very different with Manchester United, as we will both be playing to win".

The attacker moved to United in 2003 and was a part of the team that was dumped out of the Champions League by Mourinho's Porto in the last 16 - the coach doing little to endear himself to the Old Trafford faithful with his victorious charge down the touchline during a 1-1 draw in England after Costinha's crucial equaliser.

"It shows me that the manager has faith in me and I just want to push on when I get on the pitch, to show him what I can do for the team", he added.

Napoli cut the gap on Juventus to four points with a third successive win in all competitions and a third clean sheet in a row after a 3-0 win at Udinese.
