Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper Traded To Dallas Cowboys

As a result of today's trade, the Raiders will now have three first round picks in 2019 - their own, the Raiders', and the Bears' pick which they acquired via the Khalil Mack deal. But a first-round pick is a huge price to pay, and there still seems to be a good chance the Cowboys' first-round pick will be better than the Eagles' depending on how this season finishes.

Dallas reportedly gave up a first-round pick.

Cooper has just 22 catches for 280 yards and one touchdown in his first six games this season and is coming off a disappointing 2017 campaign, when he had 48 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games.

The Cowboys are not alone; the Raiders have heard inquiries on Cooper from, among others, the Washington Redskins and Indianapolis Colts, according to a league source. Cooper, 24, will cost around $4.5 million on Dallas' cap for the remainder of the season.

The Eagles are also in need of another receiver, and Cooper was a name I thought was worth a phone call. It's his fourth season and his fifth year option next year would have a base salary of $13.9 million.

The Cowboys' revamped receiver corps has struggled to get on the same page with Prescott and is considered a collection of No. 2 and No. 3 receivers while lacking a bonafide No. 1 threat.
