Thunder Purple OnePlus 6T is now official

We hope it does, though, as this color scheme looks like the bee's knees.

The launch of OnePlus 6T marked several firsts for the Chinese smartphone maker - first phone to get carrier support in the US, first with an in-display fingerprint scanner, first without 3.5mm headphone jack and indeed the first phone with the highest price tag. The posts from the tipster come with image renders of the newest OnePlus 6T colour variant.

Alongside publicly speaking on the lack of an IP rating, the AMA session held via the official OnePlus Forums was used by the OnePlus team to answer several user queries.

Background: As already mentioned, the OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple model sports the same specs as all the other variants of the device, though it comes in a variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage only.

The OnePlus 6T is the brand's latest flagship smartphone, and features incremental upgrades over the OnePlus 6.

If you're already rocking a OnePlus 6 or even a 5T, then don't worry.

The other two memory options are also available in China - 6/128 GB is CNY3,399, while the 8/256 GB OnePlus 6T is CNY3,999, which is respectively $490/€430 and $580/€510. The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core processor, which is the best processor Qualcomm has to offer at the moment. It joins the OnePlus 6T's other two colour options - Midnight Black and Mirror Black.

OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple variant could be launched soon. While the same gradient can also be seen along this OnePlus 6T variant's edges, the pattern will not be exhibited by the phone's bezels.
