Ariana Grande Slips During 'thank u, next' Performance On Ellen

Ariana Grande released "thank u, next" out of nowhere recently.

The 25-year-old singer gave the debut performance of her new song "thank u, next" and she also performed her hit song "Breathin'" on television for the first time. The "God Is A Woman" hitmaker, 25, performed her breakup anthem, "Thank U, Next" for the first time on the November 7 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Joined by Victoria Monét and Tayla Parx, who both have writing credits on the breakup anthem that calls out Grande's exes Pete Davidson, Big Sean, Ricky Alvarez and Mac Miller, the pop star paid tribute "The First Wives Club" both in costume and performance.

At one point, Grande stood up on a chair, bopping to her song in white heeled boots, but when she stepped down, she stumbled and fell, exclaiming, "Oh my god!" "'Cause she grew from the drama". They performed in front of white tables topped with flowers and a wedding cake, just like the movie's final scene in which the ladies sing, "You Don't Own Me". "Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match/Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen and laugh/Even nearly got married/And for Pete I'm so thankful/Wish I could say "Thank you" to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel", she sings. Oh my bad, I thought we were supposed to exit at the top. DeGeneres responds: "It's totally fine, we're happy that you came back".

We loved how she and her girls simply marched up the stairs and off the set at the end of the number giving great attitude and girl power, but DeGeneres was on the stage waiting to chat with her.

"Thank u, next" is out now on the streaming services.
