Two Miami-Dade County House seats turned Democrat on Tuesday, as Donna Shalala and Debbie Mucarsel-Powell won their races.

His highest approval of these states is West Virginia, oddly enough, where slightly more than three-in-five approve of the job he's doing as President, but Democrat Joe Manchin was able to keep his seat. Cynthia Nixon challenged Democratic incumbent Andrew Cuomo for NY governor.

Six of the seven Democratic state senators unseated in the primaries were members of the now-defunct Independent Democratic Conference, a coalition of wealthy Senate Democrats.

Trump said in an interview with Sinclair Broadcasting on Monday that he wished he had a softer tone during his first two years in office - even as he kept up his attacks on political rivals.Trump blamed the political vitriol on election season.

"I'd love to get along and I think after the election a lot of things can happen", Trump said. "We will finally give New Yorkers the progressive leadership they have been demanding", she tweeted.

He deployed more than 5,000 troops to the border and suggested he may triple that number. His campaign team created an advertisement focused on the caravan that was so racially charged that major TV networks pulled it.
