LeBron on All-Star draft being broadcast: 'What's bad about it?'

West format, but some people, including LeBron James, were bummed out that the draft wasn't televised.

However, captains LeBron James and Stephen Curry both agreed after the draft that it should have been shown to the fans.

Past year the NBA debuted a new format for player selection in the NBA All-Star Game that allowed the top two vote-getters to select their team based on the list of top players voted in for the All-Star game.

In case you don't know what we're talking about, here's a brief refresher: for many years, the league and its players grew a bit exhausted of the format of the All-Star Game, which featured the Eastern Conference vs.

Today, The New York Times' Marc Stein reported that the league will do just that.

In view of public clamor to make next year's All-Star Draft televised, the NBA and the Players Associations have come to an agreement to give the fans what they want to see.

The draft will likely be aired on TNT and January 30 and 31 are looking like potential target dates, depending on the availability of the two captains. The NBPA said the decision to not televise was because there wasn't a consensus among the players who could be affected. I don't think it'll be bad.

This is the best news for basketball lovers everywhere, especially those who loved LeBron James and Steph Curry picking the teams.

James and Curry were the first captains to partake in the process last season.

The game was indeed a little more competitive because of it, so they are going to try it again this year in Charlotte.

"I think, obviously, there are certain personalities that can add to it", James said.

The 2019 All-Star game will take place on February 19.
