There Are Plans to Bring All Blizzard Franchises Mobile

The news broke at Blizz-con this weekend, fans were teased with the possibility of a Diablo announcement prior to the event and of course the dedicated fandom salivated at the thought of Diablo 4 being officially announced. Whether these will be fully fledged experiences like the upcoming Diablo title claims to be or more spinoffs like Hearthstone remains to be seen.

The dragged-on overwhelming negativity from the Diablo community hasn't been helped by Blizzard's actions, for what it's worth, as the reaction to no support for the PC being, "What, do you guys not have phones, " was especially bad. He goes on to say that many of Blizzard's best developers are now working on new mobile titles across all of the company's IPs.

The User Interface that will be in Diablo Immortal looks similar to previous titles but simplified for a touch-screen.

Though substantiated reports suggest that Diablo 4 is still happening and possibly could have been announced at BlizzCon 2018, that hasn't stopped the gaming community from failing to move on from the Diablo Immortal announcement and continued to care way too much about a mobile game that doesn't tangentially impact their life. "Adham goes on to say, "... we'll have information to share on those in the future".

Despite Immortal featuring a narrative that many have been asking for, with it set to bridge the large gap between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, long-time fans of the franchise weren't pleased with the mobile-exclusivity. Diablo Immortal, a mobile spin-off, was met with a lukewarm reception, but it sounds like a much more tantalizing reveal is in the works.

While a continuation of the mainline Diablo series is an inevitability, it seems that Blizzard aren't ready to reveal their hand just yet.

No matter how powerful the mobile platform can be, I, for one do not want to tap on glass to control a video game. Which is okay? There is news that Blizzard is remaking a lot of their PC masterpiece for mobile gaming. "The most risky thing you can do in life is play it safe".
