Xiaomi officially enters the United Kingdom with the Mi 8 Pro

The front of the phone is less striking, with a very familiar look - meaning a relatively wide notch and a small chin at the bottom of the phone, like nearly every other Android phone to launch this year.

The Mi 8 Pro will go on sale in Britain on Friday, the group announced, marking the first time that the device has been available outside China.

There are red accents to the design around the camera and on the power button too.

The phone features a 6.21-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with screen resolution of 2248 x 1080 pixels.

On the rear of the device is a dual camera with two 12MP lenses working in tandem. The company will also update Redmi 5A, Redmi 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4X, Redmi Note 5A, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 5A Prime, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi Note 4 (MediaTek), Redmi Pro, Mi Note 3 and Redmi 5 Plus. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz, along with Adreno 630 GPU. Hence, we are looking at not only a Mi 8 with a transparent body but also with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The company has also brought the Mi 8 to the United Kingdom too, and that offers similar spec but there are a couple of missing features as it doesn't include the in-display fingerprint scanner. If you're in the region, do you plan on picking up a new Mi 8 Pro or Mi 8 Lite? If you hurry, you'll be able to buy the band for £19.99 but that's only for the first 10,000 orders between November 12 and November 23.

At 8pm on November 9, the company will slash the price of the £259 Xiaomi Mi A2 to £1 as well, followed by the Mi 8 Lite on Saturday November 10 at 12pm, and finally, the £259 Xiaomi Mi A2 on November 11 at midday.

Xiaomi has launched its smartphone range in the UK. Xiaomi will be opening a dedicated storefront for its products in the Westfield shopping center in London which not only includes both Mi 8 smartphones, but will also have headphones, computer accessories, and more on hand.
