All The Goals From A Sensational Dortmund Vs Bayern Clash

Bayern were held to a 1-1 draw by Freiburg last weekend, and as a result, sit third in the division, four points off leaders Dortmund ahead of the clash.

Dortmund were handed the ideal opportunity to get back into the game just three minutes into the second half when Reus was brought down in the box by Neuer, and the BVB No. 11 picked himself up to send the goalkeeper the wrong way and equalise.

Wait. What?! A quick glance at the table shows that Dortmund are top of the league after 11 matches and Bayern are seven points adrift!

After a pulsating clash, however, it was Dortmund who came out on top.

German league leaders Borussia Dortmund have lost first-choice goalkeeper Roman Buerki for Saturday's Bundesliga showdown against defending champions Bayern Munich, according to a report.

Dortmund regrouped at the interval and were awarded a penalty just three minutes into the second half.

Reus should have scored his second shortly afterward, but after sidefooting past Neuer, Kimmich was on the line to clear.

Then Achraf Hakimi squared the ball for Reus, who somehow sidefooted over the bar.

Reus clipped another good chance wide before sweeping in a superb finish without breaking stride from a cross by Lukasz Piszczek on 67 minutes to make it 2-2. The Belgian picked out Alcácer, who outpaced the Bayern defence to slot past Neuer. In stoppage time, Lewandowski flicked the ball home from close range - only to be denied by the offside flag once again, with the correct decision confirmed by VAR.
