Pregnant Amy Schumer hospitalized with severe morning sickness during second trimester

Earlier today, Amy Schumer took to social media to post a pic of herself on a hospital bed and apologized to her fans for the fact that she would not make it to her tour stop in Dallas, Texas!

While this is the first time (that we know of) Schumer has been hospitalized for the condition, the actress posted a video on November 5 of an ultrasound appointment and said she's been sick every day thus far in her pregnancy.

"Texas I am really really sorry and I'll be out there as soon as I'm better", she said. I'm in the hospital.

In the post, the "I Feel Pretty" actress was really candid about how rough her pregnancy has been sharing that "Everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story".

'I've been even more ill this trimester.

Comedian Amy Schumer has built a brand on unfiltered, relatable comedy, so it's no surprise that the 37-year-old is being painfully honest about a complication of her pregnancy. Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls**t!

Schumer, who starred and co-wrote the movie Trainwreck, and her husband Chris Fischer announced they were expecting their first child together in late October. Oh my god. See, it has so much energy, that is why I am puking every single day.

Schumer explained that she is dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum, commonly known as extreme morning sickness.

On her own Instagram page, Schumer shared a Photoshopped photo of her and Fischer's heads on Prince Harry and pregnant Meghan Markle's bodies.

HG symptoms usually appear between weeks four and six and peak at 9-to-13 weeks. While hyperemesis is rare, Mayo Clinic reports that it may require hospitalization such as with Schumer's case.

HG's cause was thought to be hormonal, however, research suggests it may be due to genetic variations.
