Kate Middleton Looks Festive in Plaid for Christmas Party With William

The goal of their trip was to meet with the families of service members.

William and Kate flew into RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus for a brief visit on Wednesday afternoon to show their support for military personnel who will not be coming back to their families in the United Kingdom for the festive period.

"But as we approach Christmas, Catherine and I feel strongly that praise for your work and recognition of your sacrifices is exactly what is due to you all".

"Yesterday they were all talking about what we do at the party and I guess all the families are proud of what we do and serving".

After meeting air and ground crew from RAF Akrotiri and other forces, the duke said: "Thank you for your commitment and thank you for your sacrifices". We don't need three adorable children to do their dance for us to make it more special.

"We know this isn't easy for you or for your wives, husbands, children, and friends back in the UK".

"But on behalf of everyone back home, we would like to say thank you", William said.

Kate and William are due to fly out to the Royal Air Force base on Cyprus to visit the troops and deliver Christmas cards and gifts from their loved ones back home in the United Kingdom.

Prince William spent seven years working in the military, most recently as a helicopter pilot for the RAF Search and Rescue based in Anglesey in North Wales.

"For Christmas, I'd probably have two options-very traditional and something vegan".

About 11,000 military personnel from all three services will be deployed on operations over Christmas. A large portion of them have children who will have a parent away over the festive period.

As Meghan has come under fire for her lavish wardrobe choices, it could be fairly argued that her sister-in-law has been strategically recycling almost every outfit in recent weeks, not only positioning herself as the more thrifty royal, but also ensuring the wow factor when she debuts something new, as she did last night.
