Kevin Durant Describes "Toxic" Environment Surrounding LeBron James

Kevin Durant Describes

"Especially when the attention is bullsh- attention, fluff", Durant continued.

So playing alongside someone like James is a huge selling point, right? "They don't need another guy".

As the February 7 trade deadline approaches, we'll get a better idea of how much there is to this rumor, but for now it's just a rumor.

While James has given the franchise a boost, there's still a lot of work to do, and according to one other National Basketball Association star, getting the players to join James in Los Angeles is going to be easier said than done.

"Kevin Love, he had to totally change his game to fit, to be a shooter", Durant said.

But that doesn't mean James, who hasn't missed more than eight games in a season since 2003/04, believes the extra rest will help him much.

Durant said it wasn't just the distracting influences on the periphery that makes playing with Lebron hard, fitting into James' style is also an integral part of being on his team. This source said Lonzo Ball and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were definitely in the deal, but that there was still discussion whether the third player would be Ingram, Josh Hart, or Kyle Kuzma. "KD, Kawhi, all these guys who are going to be free agents, their mindset now is going to be totally different six months from now". And that's not going to stop the conversation about it. There's always so many different moving parts. So enjoy the journey because we'll be champions before you know it. He's earned that, but he's human.

The Lakers have been patient with their young core and it's worked out for them so far, but there are rumors that they're looking to pair James with five-time All-Star John Wall and Lonzo Ball could be a casualty of that trade.

"Guys similar to (LeBron), why would they want to play with somebody who does all the same things?"

Lakers coach Luke Walton said he didn't read the Bleacher Report story but defended James, calling him an "incredible teammate".

"He is an incredible fellow, he is very generous, he has won multiple Championships with other superstars", Walton said. So I don't really.

"I don't know what asking me to do too much is, to be honest. He's a victor and he's an incredible player and he's unselfish", he said.
