Mortal Kombat 11 announced with first trailer - out April 2019

NetherRealm Studios has announced Mortal Kombat 11, seeing the gory fighting franchise making a gloriously bloody comeback in 2019, with all-new Custom Character Variations, seemingly taking its cue from last year's Injustice 2.

"The all new Custom Character Variations give you unprecedented control to customize the fighters and make them your own". Finally, NetherRealm Studios has promised a roster of "new and returning Klassic Fighters", with those who pre-order also getting exclusive access to Shao Khan. The trailer also included a release date for Mortal Kombat 11, and it's not far off.

The next Mortal Kombat will be out sooner than many expected, with a full reveal event planned for next month. Mortal Kombat himself, Creative Director Ed Boon.

A lot of announcements were made recently at The Game Awards, and one of the most influential fighting game franchises in history chose to become a part of it.

A community reveal event is slated for January 17th to see what's next for Netherealm Studios and Mortal Kombat 11, with a full release now keyed in for April 23rd, although whether it's available day and date on PC is one important bit of information we can hope Netherealm can share in the near future.

Although platforms were not confirmed, it would come as a great surprise to not see Mortal Kombat 11 on the Xbox One, with the developer's recent releases all being multi-platform.
