Online Action RPG 'Dauntless' Coming to Xbox One in April 2019

Dauntless is now in open beta on PC and Phoenix Labs has confirmed that the game will continually evolve.

Dauntless will support cross-platform play between PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices, with progression, customization, and purchases reflected in all versions. To celebrate the announcement, they made a trailer that debuted at The Game Awards show last night.

There aren't a lot of alternatives to Monster Hunter, but Phoenix Labs is really trying to provide one with Dauntless.

Along with the console launch, developer Phoenix Labs is releasing One Dauntless, an interconnected, cross-platform ecosystem for the online world.

Dauntless, the Monster Hunter-like RPG that is now available for PC, is making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, developer Phoenix Labs announced during The Game Awards.

Focusing firmly on combat, Dauntless allows players to team up with friends to tackle a variety of monsters who are destroying humanity on the Shattered Isles.

"At Phoenix Labs we define ourselves through a transparent development relationship with our community and strong focus on inclusivity, both at the studio and in our game", said Jesse Houston, co-founder and CEO of Phoenix Labs.

The Hunt Pass will also launch on December 6th "which will provide players with new challenges and big rewards".

So if it's Monster Hunter-ish action you're after, Dauntless will have you covered in spades. Phoenix Labs says all of this is part of their "One Dauntless" cross-platform vision, similar to Minecraft's "Play Anywhere" initiative.
