Piranha Plant isn't part of Smash Bros. Ultimate's DLC Fighters Pass

When Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo of America, appeared after the reveal, he noted that all of the Super Smash Bros.

But in the end it never happened, and there was no hint of Bayonetta 3 either. Ultimate, teased that the downloadable characters for the forthcoming fighting game would be huge, he was not kidding.

Not only is Piranha Plant a free DLC character for a limited time, it is also not part of the Smash Bros. But Nintendo isn't stopping there, with at least five more fighters on the way through DLC.


During The Game Awards 2018, Nintendo officially pulled back the curtain and revealed that the first character to join the roster as a DLC character is Persona 5's Joker.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out today and, as our review revealed, is absolutely, well... smashing.

Representing the Japanese company Atlus will be Joker from Persona 5.
