Ukraine launches drill near Russia's border

Ukrainian ports of the Azov sea reduced the turnover more than doubled, forced to go on four-day working week and reduce staff.

In a statement by the Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria, Mykola Yaremchuk, first secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine said the attack on the ships was carried out during a sea crossing from the port of Odessa to the port of Mariupol, in accordance with the provisions of all effective multilateral and bilateral worldwide treaties and navigation rules.

Omeljan stressed that the Ministry of Infrastructure is working with allies in the anti-Russian coalition on the return of the occupied territories, the release of the captured sailors and ships, the restoration of global law and the cessation of the economic blockade of Azov region of Ukraine. The Ukrainian ships' crew members, 24 Ukrainian nationals, have been arrested until January 25, 2019.

Tensions over the church come amid a bitter tug-of-war between the two neighbors that began with Russia's 2014 annexation of Crimea and support for separatist insurgents in eastern Ukraine. "We encourage you to use all available means to stop the aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine and its clear violation of global rules, norms by imposing additional energy and financial sanctions", - said Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, in a letter to the Vice-President of the United States. In order to stop the Ukrainian ships, weapons had to be used.

As part of martial law, Ukraine has beefed up its forces on the border with Russia, called up reservists for training and barred entry to all Russian males aged between 16 and 60.

Some critics at home, including Poroshenko's main political rival, former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, accused him of using the naval incident for political purposes before March's election.

The Kremlin has called the naval incident a provocation meant to shore up Poroshenko's sagging popularity.
