Arsenal release firm statement after 'laughing gas' video emerges

Arsenal Football Club has said it will send it will speak to all the players involved in a viral video of players at an exclusive party using "hippy crack" balloons before the start of last season.

After apparent footage of the Arsenal players inhaling the laughing gas emerged recently, the London club released a brief statement addressing the situation.

In footage obtained by The Sun, Alexandre Lacazette, Matteo Guendouzi, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are shown inhaling nitrous oxide at a party in London back in August.

Some of the players reportedly collapsed and passed out after inhaling the gas.

Gunners stars Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 29, and Shkodran Mustafi, 26, are also apparently in the footage but are not seen with the balloons.

The players will be spoken to about this and reminded of their responsibilities as representatives of the club.

Around 70 girls were invited to join the Arsenal stars in London's Tape club, as the party racked up a bill of nearly £30,000.

Nitrous oxide is legal to possess, but it is illegal to sell it or give away.

The Gunners are now on an unbeaten run of 20 straight matches following their 2-2 draw with Manchester United midweek.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's arrival in January appeared to jeopardise his Arsenal career before it had even truly begun, but the pair have dovetailed superbly in Unai Emery's new-look side.
