The fly half has been out injured since suffering a chest injury against Exeter Chiefs last month, but will start for Gloucester in their Champions Cup fixture at Kingsholm.

Farrell returned from injury against Connacht last week but appeared to pick up a knock during the 24-31 win in Galway, however, following a scan on his knee this week, the centre has been cleared to play and will partner Rory Scannell.
