HBO Announces 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Premiere Date

HBO made the announcement ahead of True Detective season three's premiere, along with a new and chilling Stark-centric teaser, which you can find below.

HBO has released the first Game of Thrones Season 8 trailer, offering our first look at footage from the final season of the most popular series in the pay cable network's history. In particular, these new Game of Thrones sneakers will be within the silhouette of one of Adidas' most popular models: the Ultra Boost.

Knowing the premiere date is exciting news for two reasons. Second, it means the entire season will be eligible for the 2019 Emmy Awards, where it will undoubtably dominate the winners list. Meanwhile, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Jon were busy having incestuous sexy times on their journey back to Winterfell after securing a fake truce from Cersei (Lena Headey). Jon Snow, Sansa Stark and Arya Stark not only confront their legacy and themselves in statue form, but the threat of winter that has been on the horizon for years now.


Game of Thrones returns on HBO April 14 in the US.

Recently, co-executive producer Bryan Cogman said that the final season "is about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death".
