Bradley Cooper 'embarrassed' by Oscars snub

Bradley Cooper 'embarrassed' by Oscars snub

The actor has since broken his silence on the snub, saying that he was "embarrassed" and felt like he "hadn't done" his job. A Star is Born was Cooper's directorial debut.

We hear that Gaga will be performing at the Grammys where she is nominated for five awards, four for "Shallow" from A "Star Is Born": record of the year, song of the year, best pop duo/group (with Bradley Cooper) performance and best song written for visual media.

"I'm at least glad you said that, because if I were you, I would be feeling some kind of way about it", Winfrey said.

In the preview, Cooper tells Oprah: "The first thing I felt was embarrassment actually". I went, 'Oh, gosh. "Like, 'Oh gosh, I didn't do my job'".

"But you know you did", Winfrey assured him.

To which Bradley responded: "I do".

The film received three Oscar nominations, including Best Actor for Cooper, Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. Gaga is also nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for the piano version of her song "Joanne".

Cooper told Winfrey the best advice Gaga gave him was about his singing.

"I know that he's so happy that we've all been nominated and that the film was recognised and we all feel really, really beyond elated for the recognition", the singer said during an interview with the Los Angeles Times after the nominees for the 2019 Academy Awards were announced. "It was the best direction". You're telling a story when you sing. He spoke about the emotional moment when his father died in his arms in 2011.
