Bucks to get Stanley Johnson from Pistons, trade Thon Maker

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons have agreed to send wing Stanley Johnson to the Milwaukee in exchange for Thon Maker, who recently requested a trade in the search for more playing time.

A report says the Milwaukee Bucks are getting a small forward from Detroit in a trade, but giving up one of their young inside players.

"But I didn't try to talk to him a lot cause I know I would get emotional cause he's technically my little brother - been with him three years", Antetokounmpo said.

The Bucks are now sitting atop the Eastern Conference with a 39-13 record, 1.5 games up on the Toronto Raptors.

He has not lived up to expectations after being drafted by the Pistons with the No. 8 overall pick in 2015 and a relatively promising rookie season.

Harris and Butler both become free agents at the end of the season and could leave the 76ers. Johnson is averaging 7.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in limited minutes-20.0 per game-for Detroit through 48 appearances and seven starts.

But the move to the Pistons should give Maker the chance to earn regular minutes off the bench.

A third-year pro, Maker has seen a dramatic decrease in minutes this season, going from 16.7 a night last year to 11.7 this year, despite maintaining an nearly equal level of production. Maker was not happy with his situation in Milwaukee, as they've risen to the best record in the National Basketball Association right now, and he's got an opportunity in front of him.

"The Bucks and Maker's camp are actively working to find a new home for 2016's No. 10 overall draft pick".
