Haas launches new look for 2019 Formula One season

The American team has dropped the red, grey and black colours associated with owner Gene Haas' company, Haas Automation, in favour of those of new title sponsor Rich Energy, a new and little-known energy drinks company from London.

Haas have offered a first look at F1 2019 by revealing a striking black and gold livery for the new season. We're expanding very quickly, we're taking a huge amount of business from them. "If you have no targets you never achieve anything", he said. So for now, we've got these murky renders to pore over. "I'm full of admiration for Red Bull, they're a very good business, but we feel we've got a compelling proposition, a better brand".

While Steiner acknowledged the team remained inconsistent in 2018, their car's pace was such that they regularly were the fourth-fastest team behind Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull.


The Haas F1 livery launch had a very awkward moment when the presenter asked Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean to come forward and unveil the new vehicle.

The Dane's team-mate Romain Grosjean added: "Last year was a big step for us. We're very proud that it's the next stage of our development as a company and this is nearly day one of chapter two in Rich Energy". "We're delighted to work with Haas and we want to do it on a very long-term basis". In addition to the colour scheme, the F1 team has also been renamed as Rich Energy Haas F1 team for the upcoming season. In terms of they're uniquely positioned to exploit regulation changes.

The Pole has undertaken a sensational come-back to F1 after his life-threatening rally crash at the start of 2011 left him at the time lost for the sport.
