Nintendo bringing Dr. Mario to iOS, Android this summer

The revised target was put in place "based on sales status for the nine months ended December 31, 2018", as well as the company's "future outlook", with the gaming giant now forecasting 17 million Switch hardware sales in the financial year ending March 2019, instead of the original 20 million target.

Nintendo has announced that a Dr. Mario mobile game titled Dr. Mario World, is set to be released for iOS and Android devices by the summer. A similar facility is planned for the U.S.

Nintendo also expects to open an event space in Tokyo's Shibuya this year.

For those that don't know: Super Nintendo World is a themed area under construction in Universal Studios Japan that will celebrate Nintendo's heritage with the likes of Mario and more.

There are loads of different video game and game merchandise retailers all across the globe, but very few focus on Nintendo products specifically, and none of them are managed by the Big N directly. The newspaper added that Nintendo has already discussed the release with suppliers and game developers. They said Nintendo hasn't fully taken advantage of that to get people to buy the Switch, a hybrid game machine that works both as a console and a tablet that went on sale two years ago.

Cumulative global sales of the Switch total 30 million. Switch software sales are impressive, with Super Smash Bros.

The Super Mario Bros. movie will star the famed plumber Mario Mario, and will be produced by Chris Meledandri, Founder and CEO of Illumination, and Shigeru Miyamoto, Representative Director, Fellow of Nintendo.
