Assassin's Creed III Remastered is confirmed to be available in March

Assassin's Creed III Liberation will be bundled with Assassin's Creed III Remastered this spring. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Assassin's Creed III Liberation Remastered: Follow Aveline's story as she battles Spanish forces in the American south to win freedom for her land and people. Like the main game, it will feature 4K and HDR-capable visuals, plus a number of graphical refinements. Together with improvements to Assassin's Creed III's ergonomics and gameplay mechanics.

The remastered version of this game was actually included with the Assassin's Creed Odyssey season pass and would come out when it gets launched. No confirmation yet from Ubisoft whether there will be a Nintendo Switch port later on, but a couple of rumors suggest this will eventually happen.

Hopefully, those and the long loading issues that plagued the original release are addressed. The game was widely considered a step back from the critically-acclaimed Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, despite paving the way for naval combat that is played a central focus in follow-up Black Flag.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered: Players will embody Connor, a master Assassin born of the beauty and brutality of 18-century America. It's coming out earlier, though, on March 20. It was also the fifth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and also a direct sequel to 2011's Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

I suppose this is good news for fans of the title.

I must admit that in recent years I have not so much fallen out of love with the Assassins Creed franchise.
