Kevin Durant explains his blowup at media, which felt good

In explaining last week's tirade at a postgame press conference, the Warriors forward said he believes team beat writers have gone "behind [his] back", by writing that the Knicks' trade of Kristaps Porzingis may foreshadow the two-time NBA Finals MVP leaving Golden State for NY. That was most likely done on goal.

The photo was part of a pitch to season-ticket holders to renew their packages for the 2019-20 season.

Upon realizing Durant was in the photo, the team took it down as a precaution, they said in a statement - even though it was one of many used on its website.

Also, counting recent trades the Knicks have made, they could have about $75 million in salary cap space toward pursuing a high-priced player, according to reporting from ESPN.

As the organization states, it was a rotating image that appears on their website, but given the amount of attention it has received, it decided it was in the team's best interest to remove it.

In the image, you can see Knicks player Mitchell Robinson standing next to Durant who still has a Warriors jersey.

"Game action photos are used all the time for marketing purposes", the statement read.

The Knicks aren't the only franchise to use stars from opposing teams in their season ticket renewal letters.

Durant is in his 12th season in the National Basketball Association and one of the two best players in the world.

Through his three career National Basketball Association seasons, Porzingis, the fourth overall pick of the 2015 draft, has averaged 17.8 points per game to go along with 7.1 rebounds.
