McDonald’s Donut Sticks Look Like Churros But Even Better

They will be available in two sizes - a half-dozen and full dozen - at restaurants nationwide beginning Wednesday, Feb. 20, according to a news release.

The donut sticks are served warm with cinnamon sugar and come in packs of six or 12.

"We initially tested them in select IL restaurants in early 2018, and then again in October 2018", said Linda VanGosen, McDonald's vice president of menu innovation, in a statement.

Customers can also bundle a half-dozen donut sticks and a small coffee for a special price at participating restaurants.

News of McDonald's Donut Sticks first broke in early January, after Business Insider claimed to have obtained internal documents detailing the item and its impending debut.

While the Donut Sticks basically look like a spin on churros, McDonald's vice president of menu innovation Linda VanGosen says the brand put a lot of time into getting the sticks right.
