A Time Traveler Steals The Beatles’ Music in YESTERDAY Trailer

A Time Traveler Steals The Beatles’ Music in YESTERDAY Trailer

And in director Danny Boyle's new film Yesterday, a unusual blackout and a bus accident causes one musician to wake up in a world where The Beatles never existed.

On the strength of classic songs like "Let It Be", "Hey Jude" and of course, "Yesterday", the young musician rises to worldwide stardom and takes the musical adventure of a lifetime.

Scenes from the trailer of the Danny Boyle-directed film Yesterday which was shot in Norfolk and Suffolk.

The story is by Jack Barth and the screenplay by Richard Curtis, the writer of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) and Notting Hill (1999) and the director of Love Actually (2003).

Yesterday, everyone knew The Beatles. That might sound awful for music lovers, but it's not a nightmare when he becomes the biggest star in the world singing their songs.

Big names like James Corden, Lily James and Kate McKinnon also appear, with newcomer Himesh Patel in the lead role as Jack Malik, billed as "the only man who can remember The Beatles".

Cinderella star Lily James plays Jack's love interest, who gets left behind in the ensuing madness, while real-life couple Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal play his parents. This looks as amusing and enjoyable as I hoped, and I can't wait to see it.

Maybe it is because it's reexamining the lyrics of the Beatles in 2019, but there's something about this movie that really excites me. "It's just been so long, there is no Beatles left really, particularly with John and George dead". Sir Paul played bass on a couple of the tracks of the 2017 album and sung backing vocals.

It is set for a June 26 release in the Philippines.
