Enes Kanter agrees to join Trail Blazers

Vote in our poll and let us know if you think the Trail Blazers signing of Enes Kanter was a good or bad move for Portland and then head to the comments section and let us know why you voted the way you did.

The Portland Trail Blazers created an open roster spot with the trade that sent Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin IV and two future second round picks to Cleveland in exchange for Rodney Hood. Excited to meet me new teammates, coaches, staff and most importantly the fans.

The Knicks waived Kanter, 26, at the trade deadline last Thursday.

In 44 games this season, Enes Kanter is averaging 14.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest.

He would later find himself on a number of national television telecasts that summer including FS1's Undisputed and The Herd, serving as a promoter of sorts for a Knicks team looking to make a splash in the following free agent period.

The Blazers are now sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference with a record of 33-23. They were now able to come out on top of the sweepstakes after several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, showed interest.

In eight seasons with Utah, Oklahoma City and New York, Kanter has averaged 11.9 points and 7.6 rebounds.

The Oklahoma City Thunder matched the sheet, retaining Kanter before eventually trading him to the Knicks as part of the Carmelo Anthony deal in 2017.
