Trump installs room-sized golf simulator in White House

President Donald Trump is getting a new golf simulator installed at the White House, replacing an older system installed during the Obama administration. Perks of the office!

The simulator allows Mr Trump to play virtual rounds at golf courses all over the world without leaving his private quarters, hitting a ball into a large video screen that resets after each shot.

An unnamed White House official told the Post that Trump personally paid for the new system and installation costs, but said the president hasn't used the system during his so-called executive time or at all since it was put in. The simulated was an upgrade of an older and less sophisticated simulator that had been installed under President Obama. This is definitely okay, since Trump and Republicans constantly complained about Obama playing golf after Democrats mocked President George W. Bush for playing golf. He tweeted about Obama's golf hobby 27 times from 2012 to 2016, according to SB Nation.

The White House has a long history of renovations, including recreational activities installed by presidents.

A likely manufacturer for the new White House simulator would be TrackMan. The Trump Organization operates 17 golf courses, according to the company's website.
