Huawei fakes P30 Pro photos and gets caught (again)

The Huawei Mate 20 went on sale for €799 (about £690 / $900) and upwards, whereas the Huawei Mate 20 Pro cost €1,050 (about £905 / $1,185) at launch - expect something similar this time around.

A week after having teased a familiar wearable device, Huawei has introduced a set of three new wearable devices with the launch of the Huawei Watch GT, Huawei Band 3 Pro and Huawei Band 3e.

The Watch GT from Huawei will be available for a price of Rs 15,990 and Rs 16,990 for the Sports Edition and Classic Edition respectively.

Huawei Watch GT will be available via Amazon India starting March 19. In terms of specs, the report revealed that the watch will feature a 1.39-inch OLED screen and will be backed by a lithium-polymer battery.

The Classic variant has a stainless steel crown with DLC (Diamond Like Coating) and a leather strap, while the Sport Edition has a black finish with a black silicone strap. Huawei claims that the Watch GT can last up to 2 weeks on a single charge. Or that previous incidents would see it using a disclaimer like "images simulated". When the Global Positioning System is turned on, the Watch GT will only last around 22 hours on battery. With GPS enabled, users will only get 22 hours of battery. For connectivity, Huawei Watch GT supports Global Positioning System and Bluetooth 4.2 LE among others. The smartwatch also supports TruSeen 3.0 heart rate monitoring which tracks the wearer's heartbeat in real-time via optical sensors. It is also resistant to water by up to 50 meters. Huawei has ditched Google's Wear OS and instead has added its own operating system, the OS Lite. As a result, there's an apparent lack of third-party apps. Huawei Watch GT, however, is the showstopper.

Is this the Huawei P30 camera setup? It has in-built Global Positioning System and can monitor heart rate via Infrared (IR) based sensors. The smart band is equipped with a 0.95-inch HD AMOLED color touch display. The Band 3 Pro is 11 mm thick and weighs around 25g. The company has also unveiled two fitness trackers, named Band 3 Pro and Band 3e, alongside the smartwatch.
