The Chicago Bears are going all Crimson Tide on the back end of their defense for the 2019 National Football League season.

Per a report from the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the team is signing former Packers and Redskins safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to a one-year contract.

After playing in 78 consecutive Green Bay games (including the playoffs) after joining the Packers as a first-round draft choice in 2014, Clinton-Dix will be on his third team in less than a year. He quickly moved into the starting lineup, starting 65 of the 71 games he played in a Packers uniform.

The Redskins were believed to have wanted Clinton-Dix to return.

Former Green Bay Packers free safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has agreed to a deal with the Chicago Bears.

Per Garafolo, Clinton-Dix had "more on the table elsewhere".

The good news with Clinton-Dix is that he's young (26), durable (never missed a game) and capable of producing turnovers (11 interceptions in the past three seasons).

Clinton-Dix has 14 career interceptions, all with Green Bay, where he had been a starter since his rookie season and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2016. He'll join forces with All-Pro safety Eddie Jackson to form the new safety tandem for Chuck Pagano's defense with the Bears.
