Cam Wake Leaves Dolphins & Signs with Titans

Cam Wake Leaves Dolphins & Signs with Titans

The five-time Pro Bowler departs with the second-most sacks (98) and second-most forced fumbles (22) in franchise history.

According to The Miami Herald, Dolphins HC Adam Gase has "really high" confidence that DE Cameron Wake will be ready for the start of training camp. The deal includes a reported $10 million guaranteed.

Defensive end Jurrell Casey (7) and linebacker Jayon Brown (6) led the Titans in sacks last season.

He became a breakout star in his second season in Miami, starting all 16 games and racking up 14 sacks.

While you don't see many players last in the National Football League past age 35, Wake's professional history makes the feat quite apt. Wake is projected to make a significant impact for the Titans as a situational pass rusher.

Wake is coming off a 2018 season in which he posted 36 tackles, five tackles for loss and six sacks.

Instead of re-signing Wake for an 11th season in Miami, the Dolphins are moving forward in their plans to rebuild their roster with younger, cheaper talent in hopes of developing into a competitor for years to come.
