The shooting happened in the afternoon on Friday, the Stuff news outlet reported.

A dead body has been seen lying near Al Noor Mosque in central Christchurch and a second gunman has been seen near Linwood Masjid mosque. He then returns to his auto, retrieves another rifle, and returns, shooting into the pile of bodies and then leaving.

The video has quickly been shared on both Facebook and Twitter despite pleas not to spread it further from concerned users.

The tape, viewed by The Washington Times, matches earlier reports that the gunman taped his attack.
