Gail Miller Addresses Jazz Fans, Says 'We Are Not A Racist Community'

Bill Simmons spoke about Utah's reputation among players for nasty fan behavior, in his most recent podcast.

Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook became involved in an altercation with a Utah Jazz fan.

"This should never happen".

"The ban is effective immediately and includes all arena events".

Westbrook's triple double performance - reaching double digits in three key statistical categories - came two days after he received a $25,000 fine after an expletive-laden outburst where he threatened to beat up a heckling Utah Jazz fan and his wife.

"I said "yeah, well you'll need it", and then it turned into not safe for work".

Part of the incident, which occurred during the Thunder's 98-89 victory on Monday night, was captured on video and posted on social media.

Utah fans, in general, have been known to be pretty brutal.

"Other teams are not our enemies". We are not a racist community.

Miller noted in an email to season ticket holders that they are "accountable for whoever sits at [their] seats - whether [they're] at the game or not", and that the Jazz have the right to revoke the season tickets of seats in violation. Not all sports are like that. "But he told me most of his spectacular finishes are against players in the 6'7" to 6'9" range, and he wonders whether he'll be as successful against taller, stronger National Basketball Association big men. "Everything you hear about the Miller family is positive and this is just another instance that gives us confidence".

The page says it hopes to allow "true, loyal, welcoming and kind Utah Jazz fans to show our true colors".

"We do not permit hate speech, racism, sexism or homophobia", the statement read. Tyreke Evans missed his second straight game for personal reasons.

Before tipoff, Miller expounded on that message. We are not a racist community.

This leads to the question of how can organizations provide their fans with a great game experience, but also protect the players from unruly spectators? She never said a word to him. "I just think there's got to be something done. So it was great to have her address the crowd like that.".

Donovan Mitchell scored 24 points, Jae Crowder had 18 for the Jazz in the win over the Timberwolves. Black NBA fans were at 31 percent. From time to time, individual fans exhibit poor behavior and forget their manners and disrespect players on other teams.

He added, "I want people to know that people from Utah are good people".
