I trust BCCI, will be back to cricket soon, says Sreesanth

Moreover, it asked the world's richest cricket board to decide afresh on the point of the quantum of punishment given to him within 3 months as per reports in India Today.

Fans of S Sreesanth are all in a state of ecstasy after Supreme Court ordered the BCCI to cancel the life ban of Sreesanth for his alleged involvement in the match-fixing scandal.

The bench made it clear that Sreesanth will get the opportunity of being heard by the committee on the quantum of the punishment. This comes after the Supreme Court, on March 1, reserved its order on a plea by the cricketer, against the Kerala High Court judgement, which had affirmed the ban imposed by the disciplinary committee, BCCI.

Sreesanth stated that he has been practicing cricket to remain fit.

Soon after the verdict, Sreesanth spoke to the media. "I am sure the BCCI will be kind to me and the decision will be in my favour", he said.

Sreesanth was arrested by Delhi Police along with Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan on charges of spot-fixing during the 2013 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). It should be also noted that the court rejected Sreesanth's request that he should not be punished by any means, as he was acquitted in the spot-fixing case.

"It is a huge relief for me that the life ban is lifted". All the three players were banned for life by BCCI. "I am stubborn and nothing will happen", Sreesanth was quoted as saying to the bench, of Ashok Bhushan and Justice K.M. Joseph.
