Rosario Dawson confirms she's dating US presidential hopeful Cory Booker

After rumors linking them together, Rosario Dawson confirmed her relationship with New Jersey Senator Cory Booker after TMZ stopped her at Reagan National Airport in D.C. on Thursday (March 14).

Dawson later reconfirmed their relationship when fans noticed that she "liked" the outlet's tweet about her and Booker. "[We] get to spend some time together when we can". He became the second African-American to enter the 2020 presidential race, after fellow Democratic Senator Kamala Harris of California.

But first, a softball question: Dawson, who starred in Netflix's "Luke Cage" series, was asked if she thought Booker would make a good president.

The comments came after Page Six reported Booker's link to Dawson. In early February, the USA senator appeared on the syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club.

In an interview with the The Breakfast Club radio show in February, Booker confirmed he was dating someone by saying, "I got a boo" and that it was "somebody really special".

In January 2018, while appearing on the Morado podcast, Dawson revealed she was raped and molested as a child, and hinted that her abuser was a member of her family.

Dawson, a native New Yorker of Puerto Rican and Cuban ancestry, made her film debut in the 1995 indie drama "Kids".

Booker rose to prominence as mayor of Newark, New Jersey, when he was elected in 2006, a position he held until being elected to the U.S. Senate.

If Booker were to win and remain unmarried, he would be only the fourth President to do so - after Thomas Jefferson (in 1800), Martin Van Buren (in 1836), and James Buchanan (in 1857).
