Seattle Seahawks sign Mike Iupati: Grade, reaction and more

The Seattle Seahawks re-signed linebacker Mychal Kendricks on Wednesday, but it remains unclear whether he'll be on the field for the team next season. He left for the Buccaneers in free agency in the spring of 2016, and after an injury-riddled tenure in Tampa Bay, re-signed with Seattle on a one-year deal in 2018.

The Cardinals are reportedly adding free agent guards J.R. Sweezy and Max Garcia to the team.

Seattle hasn't announced agreeing to terms with the former Alabama standout, but Fluker seemed to via Twitter with his own messages and retweeting congratulatory missives from fans.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo first reported the one-year deal between the Seahawks and Iupati.

"He fit us just right", Carroll said when talking about his desire to bring back Fluker. "They've been competitors and contenders for the nine years I've been in the league". He was more consistent and more effective, I think, because we ran the ball much more.

Kendricks missed all of October and November due to a suspension stemming from insider trading charges, then suffered a season-ending knee injury in his return on December 10.

Injuries plagued Iupati the last two seasons specifically. Unfortunately for Seattle's first-year offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, the Seahawks' offensive line regressed in pass protection last season, as quarterback Russell Wilson was sacked on over 10 percent of his dropbacks.
