Bernie Sanders' campaign becomes the first-ever to unionize

Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign said the Vermont senator received treatment at a walk-in clinic Friday for a minor injury while campaigning in SC.

Staffers for Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign is now the first-ever major party presidential campaign to unionize, according to a statement released Friday. "On this campaign and when we are in the White House, we are going make it easier for people to join unions, not harder".

Sanders is set to appear in Henderson, Nevada on Saturday for a campaign rally at 2:30 p.m.in Morrell Park.


Campaign workers for Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington state were represented by the Campaign Workers Guild during the fall midterm elections, making her the first incumbent member of Congress with a unionized campaign staff.

Sanders, who narrowly lost the 2016 Democratic nomination to Hillary Clinton, has been among the leaders in early opinion polls of prospective 2020 Democratic candidates. The New York Times had reported allegations of unwanted sexual advances, as well as pay inequity. In card check, union organizers ask workers to sign cards affirming that they support a union.
