No Man's Sky Beyond Update Arrives This Summer

In a blog post published just a little while ago, Hello Games says that the first part of Beyond is called "No Man's Sky Online". Hello Games fourth update No Man's Sky: Next added multiplayer support for up to sixteen players.

At the moment, that's more or less all we know about Online, but Hello says that the changes are in response to the game's Next update, which launched a year ago.

No Man's Sky Online is one component of a three-pronged update dubbed No Man's Sky: Beyond.

One of Beyond's new features is No Man's Sky Online.

While this community is vibrant, I can only imagine how much more thriving it could be if No Man's Sky fills out its roster of features with ones that encourage more social gameplay. Murray promised that "these changes are an answer to how we have seen people playing since the release of Next".

Hello Games will apparently reveal more details about No Man's Sky Beyond in the coming weeks and months leading up to its release, including the nature of the other two updates that will join with No Man's Sky Online. Beyond will be our most ambitious chapter so far, and something we've been working ridiculously hard on.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose.

For more information, head on over to the No Man's Sky website. To some NEXT may have felt like a natural end-point for our journey, but for us it was another step on a longer voyage. Hopefully these upcoming changes, will also include a redesigned user interface because the current setup definitely isn't doing Nomanskies any favours.
