Tyreek Hill investigated for battery, report says

The Kansas City Star is reporting that Chiefs' wideout Tyreek Hill was named in a police report concerning the alleged abuse of a minor.

Hill has not been arrested or charged in Johnson County as of Friday afternoon, but the case has been referred to the district attorney's office.

Hill's fiancee, Cyrstal Espinal, is listed under "others involved", according to The Star. A source told the Star that the victim was Hill's young son that he has with his fiancee, Crystal Espinal.

According to the report, the incident was against the couple's son and resulted in the young child having a broken arm. "We'll have no further comment at this time".

The second police report, dated March 14, alleges battery on a juvenile. He was also kicked off the Oklahoma State football team.

Hill has made the Pro Bowl all three years he's been in the NFL, and as he enters the last year of his deal in 2019, he and the Chiefs had begun discussing an extension that would make him one of the league's highest-paid receivers.

"The club is aware of the investigation involving Tyreek Hill", the team said in a statement. "Every team has that, but it gives you confidence in human beings that they can make a change when they put their mind to it and do things the right way". He was given three years of probation and ordered to undergo anger management classes. The charges were later dismissed and expunged after he completed his probation requirements.

The 25-year-old receiver finished the 2018 season with 87 receptions for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns as the Chiefs went 12-4 on the season before falling to the Patriots in the AFC Championship game.

Looks like the Kansas City Chiefs could be on the verge of losing another big name player from their potent offense.
