Google's iOS keyboard can translate text into more than 100 languages

Supporting 103 languages, the Google Translate on Gboard is available on version 1.42 of the keyboard and on iPhones and iPads running iOS9 or higher, Engadget reported on Friday. Translate support has been present in the Android counterpart of the app for over two years now. The app will choose the familiar language to detect option that is set as default, however, users will be able to manually choose the languages they want to convert.

As per a changelog shared on App Store, the users can now translate between all the languages supported by Google Translate right inside the Gboard for iOS app.

Gboard for iOS adds text translation support: Here’s how to use it

Once you grab this new update, you'll notice a translate icon in the suggestion bar. Pick the languages to translate to and from. Googles keyboard for iOS can now instantly translate the text as you type it.

Once the correct languages are selected, the user merely has to hit the "Translate" button at the bottom of Gboard. The translated text will be automatically entered into the messaging (or other) app's text field, eliminating the need to copy and paste. Gboard from iOS is available from the App Store.
