Luka Jovic Scores Against Parent Club Benfica In Europa League

Several major clubs are lining up to bid for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic but the Serb's father has warned any potential suitors off from getting their hopes up.

The 21-year-old has 24 goals and seven assists this season.

After making only two senior appearances for his parent club, Eintracht paid €200k to Benfica for a two-year loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent for a mere €7m this summer.

The presence of Madrid officials at the Europa League clash seems to indicate a concrete interest on their part in moving for Jovic, though it is suggested that they will face competition from La Liga rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in any move to sign the Bundesliga star.

"He's not sure he would get any minutes at Barca".

"He doesn't know if he can play football there".

"He was here a few days ago and said, 'Dad, I'm not anxious about money".

We have seen with the way Wolves have played against the top six this season that they have the ability to compete with the top sides in the division and it would not be a surprise to see them playing Champions League football in a few seasons.

Are you surprised by Jovic's father's claim? According to Marca, Real Madrid are among the clubs interested in a move for the Serbian and sent scouts to watch their man in action on Thursday.

The Benfica youngster netted three of his side's four goals in the 4-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their quarter-final on Thursday night.
