Eagles' Mills, Wizards' Robinson arrested for fight

Eagles veteran cornerback Jalen Mills was arrested for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning outside a Washington, D.C. nightclub stemming from a fight which sent National Basketball Association player Devin Robinson to the hospital.

Robinson was arrested after an argument turned into a physical fight outside the Opera Night Club on I Street in Northwest D.C., according to D.C. police. It's not clear what sparked the incident.

While the Eagles haven't yet released a statement, the Wizards quickly released one saying Robinson will not be back with the team next season.

Both the 6-foot, 191-pound Mills and the 6-foot-8, 200-pound Robinson were charged with disorderly affray, which generally refers to fighting in a public place.

"We are aware of the incident this morning involving Devin and are disappointed in his actions", the Wizards said.

"We will not extend him a qualifying offer for the 2019-20 season".

Robinson, a Chesterfield, Virginia-native, was hospitalized after the fight. Mills paid a "small fee" and was released, but he will have a court date unless the charges are dropped.

The Eagles said in their statement they are "aware of the situation" and "continuing to gather more information".

Philadelphia 76ers' Furkan Korkmaz, center, passes around Washington Wizards' Thomas Bryant, left, and Devin Robinson during the first half of an NBA Summer League basketball game Monday, July 9, 2018, in Las Vegas.

Philadelphia drafted him out of LSU in the seventh round in 2016.

Robinson, also 24 years old, just finished his second season.
