Microsoft Xbox One S All-Digital Edition

Microsoft Xbox One S All-Digital Edition

Over the last few months, we have heard some rumors flying around about an all-digital Xbox One releasing sometime this year, meaning the console would have no disk drive to pop a physical copy of a game into.

Microsoft is usually pretty good at keeping Xbox secrets, but we now have a good picture of what the upcoming Xbox One S All Digital console will look like. There isn't any major change in the new Xbox except for the absence of the disc drive.

These games include Minecraft, Sea Of Thieves and Forza Horizon 3, with more games available via the Store and Game Pass.

As for launch details, Quandt claims that the Xbox One S All Digital will be available in Europe on May 17th, 2019 for €229.99, which translates to around $260 Dollars.

The Xbox One S All Digital will support 4 K Ultra HD and HDR, and feature a 1 TB HDD. That all matches up with leaked information previously shared by Windows Central, which has also published mock up images similar to the newly leaked ones.

Reports have also been circulating that Microsoft is in the process of developing a program codenamed Odessa, that allows Xbox One owners to trade in older CD games for tokens to download their digital versions.

There's also a 7 May launch date and it'll cost 229 Euros.

As the console is "disc-less" it is tipped to ship with pre-installed games, meaning that gamers could choose which games they want pre-installed before the console ships.
