Watch The Mandalorian Panel Livestream from Star Wars Celebration!

Watch The Mandalorian Panel Livestream from Star Wars Celebration!

Sci-fi fanatics at the annual "Star Wars" Celebration convention were treated Sunday to an exclusive sneak-peek at "The Mandalorian", the beloved franchise's first live-action TV series, according to reports.

Judging by a slew of new images, jaded fanboys might actually give this one a pass.

During the panel, executive producer Jon Favreau and director Dave Filoni introduced stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Carl Weathers.

Those attending Star Wars Celebration 2019 this weekend got a treat in the form of a special booth set up to promote the upcoming epic Disney theme park extensions known as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. You may have been able to infer that from the helmet alone.

Gina Carano plays Kara Dune in the series and says her character is "a former Rebel shock-trooper".

A trailer for the project was also screened. When the stream got turned back on though, people were losing their minds... so yeah that's probably going to leak online very quickly and we'll update as soon as it does. "He's kind of the head of this guild of bounty hunters". The type of characters that would survive and what it was like until the New Republic took over.

So what's it like to play the lead character of a Star Wars series?

The Mandalorian hits the Disney+ streaming service November 12.

Galaxy's Edge attractions coming to Disney's theme parks are created to look and feel as if you've stepped right into a world filled with all manner of alien creatures from far-off star systems and space wizards waving their laser swords about with reckless abandon. We also know that the ship he flies around in is an ex-army surplus gunship named the Razorcrest.

The panel then said goodbye to the streaming audience, and treated the in-person audience to several more minutes of footage from The Mandalorian. He hires Pascal's Mandalorian for the job.

One cool detail mentioned on the panel, is that when the production needed more Stormtroopers for scenes, they called up the 501st Legion, the long-running Stormtrooper cosplay group. We also saw footage of Carano pulling off some great stunts, and a line from Breaking Bad alum Giancarlo Esposito. And I said, 'Would you like to be a Mandalorian?' Are you a fan of Matt Lanter and Hayden Christensen as Anakin?
