Watford supporting players over racism, says manager Javi Gracia

When you are black like me it is really painful, I think, because we are in 2019 and obviously it is not good for football in England.

Arsenal's goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came as a result of the Gabon worldwide closing down a slow clearance from Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster and the Arsenal manager admitted that it was a tactic to close down the former Manchester United man. The narrow defeat means Watford are a point off seventh place in 10th. "We know the assistant coaches and Javi Gracia and we appreciate them".

"I respect the referee's decision, but I don't agree [about Deeney's red card]", he told Sky Sports. "It's maybe a yellow card", Gracia told reporters.

"It was an important one". My players deserved the recognition not just about the result. "We don't get points but we had a good performance and we keep playing with the same ambition and desire". As I said before we are confident. I should have Cruyff-turned him to be honest but it's not really my style.

The Red Devils did try and sign him last summer but back then Spurs quoted a price of 60 million pounds which was way too much for a defender who was entering the final phase of his career.

"I know Javi Gracia and above all his teams are very organised with a big commitment to helping each other", Emery added.

"He's fast - he's absolutely rapid".

"I also met with (Manchester City midfielder) David Silva in Valencia previous year and he said to me, "Coach, if you can, come to England, it is the best football and the best atmosphere for you also".
